What's annoying me are indie games that say they don't use AI, or that they only use it for certain workflows, but it's glaringly apparent that they used it for the majority of the game.

Like don't lie about it. If they say "yeah this is majority AI" then okay I can accept that and I'll make a decision on whether I like the game or not but otherwise it feels like they're deceiving or grifting me.
