Imo, the expanse was excellent partly because of casting and the fact that the authors were so involved with it. Also, had what like 3 seasons before it hit Amazon? I still wish we got to see an adaptation of the final 3 books but I'm still glad we got what we did, definitely up there for me both tv and book wise.
