I think energy production is going to be a key factor. I actually did a dive into the whole thing recently, and it's absolutely crazy how poorly US grid is prepared for this https://dialecticaldispatches.substack.com/p/the-ai-race-isnt-about-chips-its

    We are going to see them starting to shut power off to entire communities to keep these data centers running. If people protest the cops will start killing them. What they will use this AI for, when no one that would use it will have power, idk. Maybe it'll reach a balance. We just have to kill enough people off to power the AI to serve up misinformation and shitty AI videos to those that remain.
