I wonder if they are counting Charlemagne?

Also, I feel like China would have to have more..... Or do civil wars not count?

    I think no matter how you slice it you could work the stats to go your way on that, but the main point is the French were like a pretty unstoppable land power for 500 years, had 2 bad decades in the 1900s and never lived it down somehow
