This might be opinionated but… I don’t know if he deserves it. At all.

I don’t hear about him coming over cooking, making meal plans, liasing with doctors and dietitians, nudging her to eat… or even really being there.

Yeah… at least you know you’re not behaving like him.

Him thinking of her money at this point in time is really cold. He should be thinking about her.
