He's not even the common sort of religious fanatic, he's very clearly a Nazi esotericist. He would have been one of those guys trying to dig up magic artifacts 80 years ago.

    Also love that his book list included One Piece for some fucking reason, I can't believe people paid $200 to listen to him talk about manga in a religious context.

    this is the kind of media literacy that requires fundamentally being detached from material reality.

    just an actually wild read, my man had chatgpt read the wiki to him while he was in the k hole, i'd bet everything on that.

    like an almost perfect synthesis of wonder-who-thats-for and hitler-detector
