Before everyone jumps on the "good riddance" bandwagon, please keep in mind that the main US government facility for building and maintaining nuclear weapons is in Texas.

The government would never let Texas leave the union, and if by some miracle they actually did I'm sure those weapons and facilities would be forcibly repatriated.

Texas can't even keep their own lights on, I think it would be hilarious to watch them try to go it alone. But it won't ever happen.

Texas leaving and the U.S. extracting its nukes would be the best scenario. Horrible for a lot of people in Texas, but better for the world at large.
