Joe Rogan is a drug-addled moron. Do not listen or engage with anything he says, even if you feel like you agree.

[-] devolution@lemmy.world 26 points 7 months ago

You got it all wrong. He's not drug addicted. He's brain damaged from his mma days. Apparently brain damage leads to conservative thoughts. Look at Fetterman.

There's a talk show video out there where the host is conservative (it's well known I just can't remember the name). Some guy is on the phone talking about how he's seen the light of the GOP and the host asks what changed, and he says he got kicked in the head by a horse.

The host looks a little shocked and says something like, okay moving on.

Hahaha ya that was it. Priceless.

Looks like I mixed up the country/party but those for right people are all the same.

[-] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 7 months ago

Could it maybe have been a subtle joke that made it past the call screeners?

[-] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 2 points 7 months ago

It's possible, but I'd rather not believe that hah.

[-] Niquarl@lemmy.ml 1 points 7 months ago

Honestly watching the video I think he s'was suppressing laughter

Diminishing capacity for empathy, tendency towards selfishness, quick to anger, no shame... checks out

[-] FreeAZ@sopuli.xyz 7 points 7 months ago

That's crazy man, have you ever tried DMT?

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 months ago

No but I was once awake for a week straight, the shadow people and porn hallucinations weren't fun.

[-] And009@lemmynsfw.com 5 points 7 months ago

That's the farthest from DMT one can go.

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 1 points 7 months ago

I have no experience with DMT so I wouldn't know.

[-] And009@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 7 months ago

For context, the experience is short and intense. Say 15 min.

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 1 points 7 months ago

Aight fair enough.

[-] Krudler@lemmy.world -2 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

He's a massive every-drug-under-the-sun addict

[-] Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago

I don't like Rogan just as much as the next guy, but that's simply not true. He's an advocate for psychedelics and psychedelic assisted therapy as it pertains to ptsd and expanding consciousness in general. Is he a piece of shit? Absolutely! Is he a junky? Not even close

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 0 points 7 months ago

He’s an advocate for psychedelics and psychedelic assisted therapy

In the same way that an alcoholic is advocating for local breweries, sure.

[-] drunkpostdisaster@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

Only psychedelic can actually help you.

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago

Stimulants and pain killers all have their medical use. Alcohol is a great disinfectant.

[-] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

It's not really that we agree with him. It's that his listeners get really annoying and this may help to settle them down about this.
