That's okay, I haven't trusted America in decades, and I'm American. Canadians are wise to be mistrustful of our GOVERNMENT. Most of the people are mostly cool. It's just the MAGAs you have to hide your kids from.

    As someone who has MAGA relatives in the US, most of the people are definitely not mostly cool. His die-hard supporters may only be about 35% of the population (which is huge) but there's at least another 15% who are sympathetic to the whole movement. At most, 50% of the population is mostly cool, the other half is mostly very uncool.

    No, they don't. Every poll for the last decade puts the total MAGA support in the mid- to high 30s. MAGA is a very small minority of the world, but the difference is that they are sociopaths, so they have no problems violating legal and social norms to get what they want, while everybody else wants to play by the rules. Bad Faith players always get a big lead near the beginning, but eventually the treason, corruption, and incompetence that is inherent in EVERY authoritarian regime, destroys them from within.

    If we give them enough rope, they will eventually hang themselves with their own virtuosic incompetence. The problem is the massive damage they will do to America and the word before they get there.
