The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

In your post's text body, you must include the reason "Why" YSK: It’s helpful for readability, and informs readers about the importance of the content.

YSK that Gerrymandering allows politicians to determine election outcomes by changing electoral maps. In most western countries, it's illegal. Gerrymandering is common in the United States (lemmy.world)

At least in the UK, Germany and France, certainly. Although, tbf, Americans are their own kind of unreasonable, fearful and violent. Western Europe is America-lite.
