They both claim things, but one side (Froot) has put forward receipts after a long time of being harassed over it and the other one hasn't. This doesn't smell like a 'both sides' case to me.
Regarding the charity thing, indeed, but:
- it was found out that the charity (Mermaids UK) might be doing unethical things
- it was going to be her own money, not charity donations from her viewers
I do think it would've been better if she then picked a different charity, but she was already getting harassed for even donating to a transfocused charity to begin with.
