If there is one thing the workers can't stand, it is occasionally getting paid to go fishing or crack open a cold one and grill outdoors.
I worked in food service and retail for a long time before I stumbled my way into manufacturing, and federal holidays were actually the worst. Some of the busiest days of the year when we had to serve all these hogs. Some places at least paid time and a half, but many don't even do that.
