The first time I heard that years ago, I was astonished. Who would accept such a thing?

"Buying a car is easy at RipOff Motors! You just pay the sticker price, no haggling! Isn't that GREAT!"

I'm showing up on the 28th of the month with the dealer cost in mind, and a willingness to pay 10% above that. If you don't want to haggle, I'll just go to one of the 20 other dealerships within a 30 minute drive.

I successfully haggled with a "no haggle" dealership. I made an offer, they declined, they called me a week later to see if I was still interested, I declined, 15 min later they lower the price on their site to about the number I wanted and I called them back.

That's why I always buy at the end of the month, when either the sales rep and/or the dealership are trying to hit their quota for the month, and are far more willing to cut a good deal.
