I guess to be fair I was never really a stickler for any particular method; I’m just a lot more open to a lot of them.

Sometimes even a fascist speaks the truth. CONTEXT MATTERS

he-admit-it you know, usually it takes at least 3 or 4 hexbear replies before the libs openly scream "i'm with the fascists" but good lord, you were just itching for an excuse to fling the mask off, weren't you?

Just because a fascist might sometimes be capable of being a broken clock, that doesn't mean one should ever be quoted or given any kind of "credit" for their rare broken-clock take. Yes, context absolutely does matter, and in the case where the context includes fascism, that itself informs us that we should be especially careful the fascist receives no praise or endorsement of any kind. It really is not hard to make sure you never hand it to them.

    CONTEXT MATTERS

You mean like the fact that they're a fascist and deliberately speaking in half-truths to create a distorted narrative?

For instance, suppose I told you that this quote was written decades ago and predicted the current Trump administration:

    CW: quote from fascist

In economics he undermines the states until the social enterprises which have become unprofitable are taken from the state and subjected to his financial control.

I wouldn't actually do that though, because this is a cherry-picked excerpt from Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf. Context like the fact that it was literally Adolf Hitler saying something antisemitic matters.
