Pretty obvious it's in its alpha stages. Nice that he stuck with the pattern though, he really nailed in on the first try.

This is actually chess 0.0.2 in 0.0.1 and 0.0.0 Garry only had black squares. 0.0.2 was revolutionary when it came out.

The first version had a single square and two kings, but didn't really play well. More pieces and squares were added to stop the constant stalemates.
