Summary

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized Elon Musk after he made a gesture during Trump’s inauguration resembling a Nazi salute.

Musk and his allies dismissed the comparison, calling such accusations exaggerated.

Ocasio-Cortez, however, called the gesture unacceptable, emphasizing America’s history of opposing Nazis and the Confederacy.

She also condemned the Anti-Defamation League for defending Musk, accusing it of losing credibility.

Her comments sparked broader debate on symbols, gestures, and their implications amid Trump’s return to office.

You have no idea how "Now the collective West is the new Nazi party, and like it or not it’s up to Russia and China to stop them again." sounds tankie as fuck?

No, I don't talk to tankies I don't think. I genuinely don't understand why you'd have this reaction to a description of what's happening.

Just looked up what a "tanky" was, got mixed results, looks like classic red scare communism-phobia to me, lots of people butthurt that Russia beat the Nazis and freed the concentration camps with violence as if that was a mistake. Did it happen some other way then? And all that stuff about Russia and Stalingrad and Berlin is just tankie propaganda? Please.

It sounds like something tankies say because that's what tankies say. It's not much deeper than that lol

Ok so it's something tankies say, why is that a problem? If they said the sky was blue would you say everyone who thinks the sky is blue is a tankie?

EDIT - Just to add, you know who else reacted negatively to communists? You know why the Nazis targetted jews? Or is the irony of using "tankie" as a pejorative and being a fascist lost on you?
