publishing medical records on the site without the patients' permission.

Please tell me there's a HIPAA lawsuit incoming. That shit has fines in the millions of dollars and like 10 year prison sentences for disclosing patient information with malicious intent.

    He’s claiming to have been given the records by the doctor because he is a “journalist” and they support his claim that pedophelia isn’t harmful to the kids, but gender affirming care is. Anyone whose data he may be sharing will have to prove harm from this in order to sue. It’s really f’ed up.

    Yeah doctors can't give your medical history to the press, regardless of the circumstances. Like even the cops have to get a subpoena in order to access a patient's medical records. And even then, they may struggle getting information they want. In psychiatric care, for example, unless you tell your therapist you plan on hurting yourself or literally killing someone else, they can't even disclose their relationship to you. That's enough to lose their license. You essentially have with your psychiatrist the same protections you have with your lawyer.

    At the very least, the doctor who leaked the medical records should be stripped of their position and possibly charged with malpractice.

    Reports have been made to the “authorities”, but he keeps getting away with it because the right wingers agree with him and defend him. You have a strange amount of faith in a system that agrees with him and hates us.

    Oh no it doesn't surprise me at all. I just thought they'd at least try and be subtle about it, not actually come out and say "Yeah I just asked the doctor and he handed over everything." Just throw it on the pile of shit reactionaries get away with because liberals allow them to.

    I’m struggling to get my head round this…they don’t like MtF trans people cause they (allegedly) all want to nonce kids, but paedophilia doesn’t harm kids? That’s all kinds of fucked.

    Also, there are lots of paedos in right wing groups.

    Yup, basically Singal is a right wing asshole with a history of defending pedos and anti-trans propaganda who masquerades a a journalist. And the libertarian techbros on the BS Trust&Safety team decided not to do anything to stop him from hurting their subscribers. It’s as simple as it is disgusting.
