That's technically better than what we have now. All we get is a single jackass deciding whether we die or not.

    I mean, a Death Panel would have to actually stop and think about the life they're going to snuff out instead of just going "Can you just die? Our share holders would really appreciate it? No? Eh, I wasn't really asking anyway.."

    At least medically assisted death panels have licensed Doctors on them, and they're discussing at the patients request. They are not deciding who lives and who dies, just whether or not offering medically assisted death is appropriate for the patient requesting it. Instead of a broken AI just returning 'coverage denied' all day.
