[–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 19 points 2 years ago (5 children) What's the r² on this, like ... 0.3 ish? Less? permalink fedilink source hideshow 5 child comments replies: [–] rustydrd@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 years ago My guess is lower. I'd put the correlation at about -.35 to -.45, so that'd correspond to an R² of .1225 to .2025. But eyeballing correlations is hard. permalink fedilink source parent [–] taiyang@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago (1 child) Assuming it's a correction line, I don't think you can tell from the slope of that line alone as the clustering will matter and correlations are finicky. Now, if it was a regression coefficient, that sexy line can be calculated just by looking at it (although we'd want to know if it was significant, lol). permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 years ago I was assuming its a simple linear regression fit, and attempting to eyeball the r², haha. permalink fedilink source parent [–] MeowZedong@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 years ago (1 child) Delete enough data points and it will be 1. You'll only have two data points, but you'll have bragging rights. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [+] azi@mander.xyz 1 point 2 years ago [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent
