Tank man is funny because it's like "look at this brave man standing against an oppressive regime. Nobody knows what happened to him afterwards" As if they'd actually care. If it were to happen in America there's a very good chance he would've been runover for disrupting traffic.

    in 2020 there were multiple instances of NYPD actually running over protestors

    e: looks like there's an even better comparison earlier in this thread. every accusation of brutality is, in fact, a confession
