[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago The US is extremely weird, because of a phobia of the government tracking them. So there is no national ID like most modern countries... So you end up with these work arounds like using the birth certificate to identify yourself. It's a really shit system. permalink fedilink source parent
