Saluto @salvomic, il primo utente Flipboard italiano che riesco a vedere dal mio angolo di fediverso libero!

(tuttavia non so se lui riesce a leggere il mio messaggio)

@informapirata @fediverso ma perchè se cerco

activitypub language:IT

vengono fuori tutte immagini di @salvomic??

pur scrivendo in inglese e scrivendo di tutt'altri argomenti.

Stavo cercando messaggi tecnici e mi sono ritrovato con gatti, viaggi, ecc.

questo va a rovinare completamente la ricerca su M1 al limite dello spam, ma non sembra che Salvo inserisca activitypub fra gli hashtag: https://flipboard.com/@salvomic/my-cuisine-mv0cof0lz/-/a-D2tuG_w5RD2rvGkf90mLKg%3Aa%3A3925444317-%2F0

    @amministratore infatti non credo che dipenda da @salvomic ma temo che si tratti di una impostazione di default. Credo che questa sia una domanda da porre a @greg
    Probabilmente le pubblicazioni federate contengono tutte un tag #activitypub

    @fediverso@flipboard.social @salvomic @greg @informapirata @fediverso@feddit.it yep, I confirm, on mastodon.uno & mastodon.social when searching:

    activitypub language:EN

    it shows countless unrelated posts from flipboard.com!!

    It looks to me like this is a bug and treating your 2 search terms as an OR .... show me posts for "activitypub" or show me posts for the english language (any post in the english language). I think flipboard.com just happened to have recent english language posts. Seems like you want an AND for the search.

    @greg @fediverso@flipboard.social @salvomic @informapirata @fediverso@feddit.it @Gargron @MastodonEngineering @Flipboard

    EDIT:
    Looks like searching only "activitypub" on mastodon will return all federated messages from flipboard.com.

    if I search:

    activitypub language:IT

    will return every italian messages federated.

    @amministratore @greg @fediverso @informapirata @fediverso@feddit.it @Gargron @MastodonEngineering @Flipboard

    I did the test now on flipboard.social and the "activitypub language:IT " search returns only the last 4 posts of mine, but without the hashtag

    @salvomic @amministratore @fediverso @informapirata @fediverso@feddit.it @Gargron @MastodonEngineering @Flipboard @renchap figured it out ... it's related to how Mastodon indexes urls where it includes utm params

    @greg Out of curiosity, could you please tell me if there is a repository where Flipboard's ActivityPub implementations are documented?

    Sorry for the question, but I don't know where to start looking... 😅

    @informapirata @salvomic @amministratore @fediverso @fediverso@feddit.it @Gargron @MastodonEngineering @Flipboard @renchap @JsonCulverhouse That is a great question, unfortunately it is currently our own java implementation which is in a private repo. We have been discussing how to extract the implementation from our own internal libraries to make it publicly available.

    @greg I understand. In reality, it would be sufficient to understand the logic by which some Flipboard entities are recognized as Activitypub groups (but my Friendica doesn't recognize them as such 🤯).

    But there is time. In the meantime I'm very happy that flipboard.com also federates with Lemmy! 🤩
