[–] Subverb@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago (4 children) So owning a fleet of rental cars is being a social parasite and not a job? permalink fedilink source hideshow 8 child comments replies: [–] Kichae@lemmy.ca 34 points 2 years ago "Owning things" is not a job, correct. Making a living owning property is not a service to society. Doing the labour to repair property is a service. Doing the filing to keep records of usage and repair is a service. Taking a cut because your name is on a deed? That's just stealing from the people who did the work. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Denvil@lemmy.one 31 points 2 years ago If you hoarding a fleet of rental cars damages people's ability to get a regular car then I'd argue yes permalink fedilink source parent [–] db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com [S] 16 points 2 years ago yes permalink fedilink source parent [–] SeattleRain@lemmy.world 0 points 2 years ago No, because people won't die without affordable rental cars. permalink fedilink source parent
