I used to Doordash for a living until my car brokedown. Me and my wife have been living in a weekly rate motel. We are unable to save rn because everything we get goes towards rent and food. We have no family other than eachother. My family is dead and she comes from a broken family. I'm a Katrina survivor and my family lost everything in Katrina and I lost all of my family in the years after Katrina. I'm the last Creole in my area on the Gulf Coast. I've been dealing with the effects of extreme malnutrition from this situation and trying to recover from it. We are ultimately trying to raise enough money for a car or at least an apartment for a month so that we can save. We live in a very car dependent area and there's no public transportation and not having a car makes it impossible to get out of this situation. We've reached out to every local church and charity and organization and nobody will help. We've reached out on local social media and just got attacked. If anyone could help us we would really appreciate it.
