I’ve started investing in ETFs (S&P 500) but wonder if it would be better to buy a property instead and put it to rent.

I’m in my early 40s and I plan to regularly invest in this and similar worldwide ETFs in the next 25 years, as complement to my public pension.

A coworker told me he saved money to buy a house and put it to rent. He can always move in if he wants and it gives him a stable source of income per month. I don’t know how much.

I don’t know if investing in ETFs in wiser here: on one hand I want a quiet life and now I simply work and the money gets invested automatically once per month. I’ve never been a landlord and I wonder if the learning curve would be too steep. Furthermore, I don’t believe I want to be a landlord. Ain’t it too stressful?

In my experience managers lie to applicants massively in job interviews: about job conditions, training conditions, available free days, how taxing the job is, how supportive your coworkers are…

Younger me believed managers and coworkers when they said they would support me to be more knowledgeable, wouldn’t mind I use my downtime to learn. In reality they ignored me during training and criticized me savagely for reading manuals while my coworkers were talking about football fields, which to me is a waste of time. I always did my job when clients came, learning exclusively during downtime but manager chose to ignore that. Being accused of not doing your job like this while wanting to be better sends a clear message that your development is not important. I stopped trusting people after that.

I’ve reached a point where I don’t give much fucks about it anymore: In the past I used to be more engaged than now, I genuinely enjoyed learning but now... my new motto is I go to work for a paycheck and I go home asap to enjoy my life as much as I can. It’s a complete disconnect from my job.

Do I stay with the crap I know or do I keep looking for something better? I’m in a union and hurdles to fire me according to several people are high, I take it easy at work, I go to the toilet as much as I possibly can (and learn or read), I don’t have to deal with people I dislike for long, I don’t do any overtime and have no qualms about calling in sick. It took me a health scare to understand this job is not more important than me.

But I also don’t want to do this for the rest of my life, because it’s physically demanding and I won’t be young forever, I could earn more if I keep learning and update my certifications, I could get a desk job before I break my back doing my current job…

But is it worth it to try to find a better job? Because people are gonna people and wherever I go I’ll have to deal with people that sabotage me like I described before.

Or maybe I’m wrong?

Ich habe mehrere halterlose Strümpfe von Falke im Angebot gekauft. Die sind teuer, aber alle anderen Halterlose, die ich anprobiert habe, sind viel schlechter; einige bleiben einfach nicht oben.

Die von Falke sind schön verpackt, und es wäre sehr schwierig, die Strümpfe in der gleichen gedehnten Form wieder in die Verpackung zu stecken, was bedeutet, dass man würde sofort merken, wenn die Strümpfe aus der Verpackung genommen würden.

Mir ist unklar, ob ein Laden (eine große deutsche Kette) oder ein Online-Händler (Falke selbst oder amazon oder ebay) eine Rückgabe wegen des Auspackens verweigern können.

Ich nehme sie heraus, um die Höhe und Breite der Strümpfe und die Silikonbänder zu vergleichen.

Falke ist teuer. Kennt ihr Marken, die tatsächlich gut, aber nicht so teuer sind? Die von DM sind 4 bis 6 Mal billiger, sind aber Müll. Falke hat auch passende Größen für große Frauen (ich bin 183cm hoch)

Online habe ich dieses Vibro-Ei für 23 Euro gefunden. Dann habe ich mehrere Sexshops besucht und nach Vibro-Eier wie diesem gefragt. Im ersten haben sie mir dies für 130 Euro gezeigt. Sie haben betont, dass es gemäß IPX7 wasserdicht ist und dass günstigere Modelle nichts bringen.

Ist das zweite Modell sechsmal besser als das erste? Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ein Sexspielzeug so teuer sein kann.

In einem anderen Sexshop wurde mir dies angeboten, das direkt vom Hersteller für 50 Euro gekauft werden kann, aber in diesem Sexshop kostete es 100 Euro, was ein wahnsinniger Aufschlag ist.

Sie hatten auch dieses Ei für 130 Euro im Laden.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich nur „Marken”-Vibro-Eier kaufen oder einfach den Amazon-Bewertungen vertrauen und das günstigste Modell für 23 Euro kaufen soll. Andere Bewertungen zu den teuersten Modellen über 100 Euro deuten darauf hin, dass einige Kundinnen angesichts des Preises mit dem Produkt unzufrieden sind. Ich weiß auch nicht, welche Marken seriös sind, wenn es überhaupt welche gibt, da ich so etwas nicht zurückgeben kann, wenn es mir nicht gefällt.

Alle aufgeführten Geräte werden in China hergestellt, daher verstehe ich die extremen Preisaufschläge nicht.

Wenn ihr Vibro-Eier verwendet, gibt es Marken, auf die ich achten sollte?

Online I found this egg for 23 euros. I then visited several sex shops asking for vibrating eggs like that one. On the first one they showed me this one for 130 euros. They insisted is waterproof according to IPX7 and that cheaper models are won't bring me to orgasm.

Is the second model 6 times better than the first one? I never expected a sex toy to be this expensive.

At another sex shop they offered this which can be bought directly from the manufacturer for 50 euros, but in this sex shop was valued at 90 euros, which is an insane markup.

I don’t know if I should only buy ‘brand’ vibrators or simply trust amazon reviews and buy the cheapest one for 23 euros. Other reviews about the most expensive models over 100 euros indicate some customers are unhappy with the product, considering the price. Neither do I know what brands are reputable ones, if any, because I cannot give back a thing like this if I don’t like it.

Every listed toy is made in China so I don’t get the radical markups.
