Trump really likes talking about wars other leaders of the US/nations "shouldn't have been started." If Iran was a Biden project it would be the same "bad for business" shit. I wonder if he is trying to win over Russia in hopes they will lean on Iran after Ukraine with all the fuel money being allowed to buy Russian supply. Hopefully it is him being played, and Russia continues to support Iran's side.

Almost wish Xi did call the bluff and inquire more to see how fast Trump would back-peddle. If Trump actually did start to move forward, then we get to see how fast it get blocked by laws that list China as one of the foreign adversaries. Which could a least be fun to see the major right-wing media outlets either condemn him or trip over themselves to claim how amazing it is. Maybe see how willing his own people in the military/SCOTUS/congress are to coup over treason.

But I imagine that it would quickly turn into requirement exempting any sale to immediate declaration of Taiwan as not part of China (and other non-starters). Which would then be fuel for right-wing media and politicians to hoist Trump higher for being a "deal maker" and the "un-willing to play ball" CeeCeePee if they declined. So not worth it outside of this random instance of Trump rambling while hosting Xi.

Looks like it is a small local affiliate, so the normal "Fox News" talking heads stuff isn't the same problem. Or at least closer to actual stories as any other local outlet. But maybe the main network will keep it in the pocket for mixing into the red scare stuff.

I am sure the USA gov will make an attempt to push for restocking, which will require more bodies to build them. Which they can then spin as "job creation" and any new factories needed as "bringing back manufacturing" or something. The guidance systems and computers that go into the "dumb" parts of the bombs and missiles will still be the choke point.

Kind of shocked they didn't overwrite the card like the owner thought they would. Would still be a bad look for the pigs to some level, but not like SD cards or other storage in cams don't already corrupt files from time to time. At the same time I am also mildly surprised they didn't just damage the cam and claim it somehow happened when they arrested the person (just find an excuse to be extra rough and say "it must have happened then"). But leaving it out for so long and not place into an evidence locker, while openly talking about corrupt shit is beyond dumb.

And I am glad they were that dumb. Because proof is much worse when it can be heard by so many more people. Sadly I imagine the people will just be mad, be told the bad apples thing by the leadership (and likely raid that massage place to distract attention), and go on believing that "that happened but it was back then and not now."

Figured it was something like that. Only thing that would suck if they did hit one or any of the other ships/subs that are nuclear powered is the nuclear contamination. Which I guess is a kind of unintended deterrent for sinking any of them for any nation that has them. Would want to fuck them up, while trying to avoid the plant in a way that also still allows them to be tugged away I guess. Though it would still get a similar impact as sinking since it removes an asset and cost so much in all logistics.

If Iran ends up sending more towards the IOF (in addition to USA targets), then I hope they include the "settlements" in West Bank. The open attacks on Palestinians with support of the IOF, should flip all "settlements" as 100% valid targets.

Related to USA targets. Is Iran trying to hit any the aircraft carriers with their hypersonic missiles? I know they are harder to hit since they actively move around and the stationary targets do matter. Just seems like even losing one would fuck things up for the USA projecting power.

A-10 getting taken down has got to hurt. They tend to get praise for how they tend to manage to fly back with damage that would have taken out other fighters/ground attack planes.

A bit shocked that given the amount of missiles that were around. That they didn't manage to hide a few warheads. I am sure that Russia (and maybe the USA) were much more aware of the numbers and locations of such assets compared to basically anything else. Just seems like at least some effort to try anything with all the chaos of a nation dissolving would have been the best time. Especially given how for a brief period of time they were all of a sudden one of the most armed nuclear nations.
