Very bad timing for them to do this seeing how the CEO of UHC got dropped. Will be interesting if Anthem walks it back with the real possibility of more people that are pushed to the brink and nothing to lose. If they and the other insurance corpos keep going like this, then I can only hope said people pushed to the brink are met with outpouring of support.

But I am kind of thinking that the Kurds in Rojava might need to really be ready to deal with (just straight up kill) the ISIS prisoners that they have been left forced to keep since all the nations from which many of them came from have refused to take back. If those fighters are allowed to get out, shit will be a bloodbath (especially the female Kurds). Which given how Israel and western powers have been using right-wing groups to keep the region destabilized. I can only guess that keeping such concentrated numbers of ISIS in the area is the plan if the current groups fail.

I have been thinking of joining a party recently to at minimum add an extra member to help build numbers (which matters if a party wants to be seen by normies as "legitimate" and give options). And would hope to further meet more real leftists IRL and help out in whatever ways I can. Has been down to basically CPUSA and PSL. But seeing the CPUSA feeling the need to follow the Dems after the Trump shooting thing (they could have just posted nothing and it would have at least kept some face in the matter). And after the recent purging of a whole chapter for the crime of quietly and without any big show leaving the panel from the Israel party. Along with the added condemnation of that chapter for being out trying to help people and the moment.

It seems that the CPUSA has forgotten that there can't be a revolution if we just play by the rules made up (and always changed to benefit keeping out third parties) by the two "allowed" parties. Mutual aid and showing deep solidarity with real struggling working and poor people is how we both teach what we really are and about. It is how we learn what does and doesn't work and how to adapt our efforts in waking people up to the lies. And it is most importantly how we keep our humanity.

Currently it seems that PSL is likely where I will apply for membership. I just need to commit myself to reading their provided information first as I don't want to waste their or my time applying without knowing the party and programs. Just sad to see that the oldest communist party in the US fall into the same regressions that the USSR lost their way in by allowing the capitalists to dictate what is and isn't acceptable. And the CPUSA hasn't even had the benefit of being in power. At least the USSR actually had a revolution and made giant leaps for humanity and the people.

So many of these kinds of people tend to get off so easy when compared to folks that commit actions impacting a small number of people. So many in the US are ready to call for the death penalty for everything other than these evil greedy fucks who's actions can have impacts for multiple generations. It is telling that the rich and powerful make sure no such penalty is placed as a legal option. If it is possible for someone that kills another person to be sentenced to death. Then it sure as fuck should be the only option for people like her and those that constantly play games with people's lives and the entire economy of a nation just to hoard more money.

True, but being fair to the DPRK, Google hasn't had the most powerful nation in the world literally blocking almost all trade with them or all the sanctions. Google has been allowed to make mad money and do whatever they want more or less (at least as long as the US gov can still tap into the info), and it really isn't shocking they have what they have at this point. The DPRK was able to do this basically completely on their own despite everything. Even the US had to start with one satellite at one point. So a "fuck you" to the US is a win for the DPRK no matter how small it is when compared to rich companies.

The main thing they care about is talking without actual actions, and they would rather fascism take over instead of excepting that the centrist systems of liberalism's version of democracy has failed. They fail to see that sometimes there isn't a "next time" to rely on for them or their parties to exist let alone run again.

No fucking way should that happen. Both Hamas and the other Palestinians know that lack of any collateral completely removes literally any tiny amount of leverage they have. They already tried working with the US and Israel in the "correct" ways, and just always get fucked without any real ability to push back. They would be better off just constantly uploading or streaming videos of them taking care of the folks in all possible ways. Allow families to see that (aside from lacking resources) their loved ones are fine.

Also would allow a constant look at the blanket bombings from Israel are the only things placing them in any physical harm or mental distress (aside from the obvious stress that anyone being held hostage would feel). Would be maybe useful for upping pressure on Israel to stop turning off the power and water, and for allowing aid supplies in. It won't stop Israel but would help in getting more people and nations to stop voicing/giving support to them and the US. Because the US and Israeli govs and media will still act like it is Hamas and Palestinians as a whole are the "unreasonable" ones.

For real! Hell, they even openly tried to fucking join NATO at one point. They tried going capitalist as fuck really fast to get the west to back the fuck off of the whole "most evil nation that is always trying to end the world because communism". But it wasn't going to ever matter and were still always painted as being a KGB police dictatorship, even though the west was treating other nations with much more literal versions of that shit as being our best friends in "freedom". NATO existing after the USSR and now even expanding to literally non-North Atlantic regions at this point should be so fucking obvious to it being anything other than a mob. Everything "aggressive" being done by Russia is the result of NATO members (especially the US and UK but not limited to them) never having any plans to let Russia be treated as equal.

And the idea that China is basically pulling an op on making Russia bow to them is beyond some of the dumbest lib (both conservative and progressive)/reactionary shit. They were both being treated in every bad-faith ways possible and constantly being loudly pushed as being "evil" no matter what. Both are treated as trying to push the world into another war anytime they do big military training exercises (both joint and just within their branches internally). While the US and NATO are constantly rolling up on their borders and making sure to do similar or larger exercises and always seen as somehow not aggressive/pushing for war.

I like how they paint China as "earning money on the conflict," like the military industrial complex of the US and other NATO nations are actually just giving shit to Ukraine without strings attached to every single bit. The west are the ones that thought they would be made richer, and that putting so many restrictions on Russia would also bring China down completely. So far Ukraine has only won over the libs and moderate conservatives because they are anti-Russia no matter what (similar to the Dems "vote blue no matter who" headspace). They also were successful in getting Putin to okay the operation due to further and aggressively trying to join NATO.

It seems (to me) to be a soft demand outwardly as China is both trying to avoid the US and western nations being able to paint them as just being pro-Russia instead of neutral (and trying to find a way to maybe be the ones to bring peace). While also still not just letting it slide. Which if Ukraine does stupidly make worse in their reply, will only help move basically all of Asia away due to calling them all stupid because of race. Which also gives the de-Nazification argument for Russia starting the special operation a boost.
