Why the fuck do the europeans think that they should be the ones to set the conditions for the ceasefire?

...the European Parliament expressed support for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza but demanded the immediate release of Israeli hostages and the dismantling of Hamas.

I guess they wanted to be sure that everybody would ignore them as usual.
