It's very eye catching!

This reminds me of a happy oopsie I made earlier couple years ago.
I put my kids sweater on one of the only lamps with an incandescent bulb in the house. It melted a hole in the back of it like any synthetic material would.
I had some old socks with monster eyeballs that I had been meaning to throw away so I used that to patch the hole. It was their favorite sweater for a couple months because of the eyeball looking out the back of an otherwise normal sweater.
That's awesome, I'd smile at my little secret everytime I opened it
Cute on the outside, creepy on the inside. Just like I like my people.
It's like the reverse of an EDC pouch! And it's freaking awesome
Love it. Make me one!
It appears this bag will keep a good eye on your stuff.
Hilarious
That is awesome!
Hahahahahah that looks great
looks really well put together. also, practical and whimsical. thanks for sharing!
Oh that's cute as heck! I'm trying to find a slightly spookier eyes fabric to do the same in my custom backpack lol
How big is it? It looks like it'd make a good pen pouch design.
The outside can be interpreted as the nerves/ blood vessels behind the eyes.
Eyes on the inside, as one who has consumed three thirds of umbilical cord.
How is the bag shape made?
It started as an 8" x 11" rectangle. Once the inner & outer material, and liner are sewn to the zipper a 1" x 1" square is cut from the corners, then that opening is sewn shut giving it the shape.
We did not have a pattern per se, our teacher had bags in various states to illustrate each step.
This looks like a fun project to do with the kids, so I have some questions! Hope you don't mind.
You basically had a three layer rectangle with half of the zipper along each long edge, and a square about as big as the final small ends cut out of the middle of the short edges?
Why is there an inner layer between the outer and liner?
How do you (or DO you?) connect the two ends of the zipper strips?
Rough diagram attached.

I think it is a variation of this. https://craftingwithclementine.com/packing-cube-2-0/
Edit: I watched part of the video in that and it is not quite the same. The end result does look similar, so that may be a good place to start while I try to recall the steps.
