Ukraine destroyed or damaged six Su-34 fighterbombers with a neptune missile attack in Russia's Voronezh. Ukraine struck Sberbank's main data center in Balakovo triggering a banking crisis. Trump or Elon Musk shut off Starlink/Starshield for Ukraine's military for a day and then it was restored.

6 Russian SU34 in 1 night! And allegedly they were loaded with bombs and ready to go!
Well done Ukraine. 👍

Sbebank data center attacked making bank accounts/money inaccessible! This could quickly turn out to be more than just an inconvenience. 🤣
If Ukraine can fuck up the banks data, I could imagine major financial chaos.

I am not sure if there is a case in the modern age of a bank just no longer having data.

No savings No debts No share holdings

    What then?

    Interesting fallout.

That's an inherent risk when your assets are managed by an external party. Cash in a bank is seemingly always accessible because its "liquid." Liquid means it is a ledger that almost everyone uses.

If no ledger is available to show how much the bank can give you when you ask for it, OR the bank no longer HAS that cash on hand - they can't give you that asset.

Every asset requires a special ledger. Destroy that ledger or that asset... the asset is effectively gone.

We know exactly what happens when these situations occur. If you obliterate a house, there better be a ledger showing you purchased insurance in the case of loss, otherwise you are SOL. If people lose faith in a bank, and a bank run occurs - the cash gets exhausted and people are SOL until cash comes back.

If all of your physical and cash assets are stored in a physical vault, and the vault is destroyed, those assets are gone.

Why do all these thumbnails put an obsolete symbol on his shirt?

I didn't make them, but my guess is that it's to illustrate that Russia today is very much like the Soviet Union in several ways.
It's an authoritarian dictatorship, and they are just as much the enemy of democracy as they ever were.

IMO it should be pretty obvious!

If that's your reasoning, it's like the soviet union in the same way that it's like most countries that the US has assassinated leadership and installed leaders and is pretty weak. Seems more likely they want to ride the red scare vibes than actually make a statement about Russia.

When did USA assassinate a Soviet or Russian leader?
And how did this suddenly become about USA, that's both whataboutism and completely irrelevant to Russia illegally invading Ukraine without any reason, and cause death and misery of hundreds of thousands of people

I am talking about the choice of using the symbol on his shirt. There is no "whataboutism" happening here, I am simply pointing out that they could use many symbols to represent a dictator and they chose that one. Why not use the flag of Cameroon, whose Paul Biya was a dictator for a decade longer than Stalin or something?
