I'm building a catalog for the Internet, with an XXX.XXX.XXX (INF.REF.ENC) categorization system. And would like to make submitting a site as straightforward as possible. For legal reasons (writing bad descriptions could cost views), we're completely opt-in.

The entire database will be licensed under CC-BY-SA, and hosted over IPFS.

Are these instructions clear, or do they need to be redrafted?

Two things that comes into my mind:

  • The meaning of INF, REF, and ENC are not clear. The INF section has been used for both topic and country code.
  • In "USA.KTY.BGN", shouldn't it say USA.XXX.XXX instead to make it clearer?

    What country code uses INF?

I was hoping to demonstrate a particular city with that reference.

Oh right, the KTY part is also part of the region. By INF I meant what you said above in the post (XXX.XXX.XXX (INF.REC.ENC)), which makes it look like each part corresponds to something called INF, REC and ENC. I didn't realise that it was supposed to be an example.

    Gotcha.

Also, I'm now wondering if it would be appropriate to have a network of distributed servers, each dedicated to a particular country. Would provide a lot more breathing room.

What if my site fits multiple, non overlapping call locations from the open catalogue system?

Do I add it multiple times?
