The filing also points to mounting evidence in Minnesota that the prospect of federal immigration agents around voting sites is already changing how voters and election workers behave.

I am curious. Could a group of concerned citizens show up at polling places armed and with signs saying they are there to defend anyone voting from any intimidation. Would that be technically legal?

ICE also fed voter DATA to PALANTIR, so they know which polling stations to hit. likely they will be targeting swing areas, like they rigged in 24.

Good. At least the courts won’t have the “we have to wait for the crime” excuse.

I’m sure they’ll think of something, but still.

All they need to do now is attack noncompliant voters, and it's Russian democracy.

They can't just cull half of the entire population for voting blue, right....?

Problem is, they don't need to cull the complete half.

    And

They are taking bites out of whatever's left of a fair election process in the USA, all over the place. The threat of actual physical violence, as horrifying as that is, is unfortunately only one of many efforts.

Not quite. It's salvageable but Americans won't save it because it's too much work.

That's hardly better than the comment you're replying to.

Honestly, I'm still optimistic about MAGA ending soon.

But then I was also optimistic in 2024.

Um yes I'm not exactly brimming with faith in American democracy.

Honestly, I'm still optimistic about MAGA ending soon.

Yeah no. MAGA isn't just a random flare up; it's the result of systemic problems in American society producing fascism*. The best you're ever going to get without wide-reaching systemic reform is a four-year break before neo-MAGA (probably but not necessarily under a different name) appears with a vengeance. You can't wait out fascism any more than you can wait out cancer; you actually have to get it treat it or it'll kill you.

*To radically oversimplify, there are only two modes of government capitalist elites will tolerate: centrist liberal democracy and rightwing totalitarianism, and a society that (to give one example) can't house its young won't get to exist as a liberal democracy for long. You do the math.
