    Speitan has not responded to the BBC's request for comment. The Telegraph reported that when it asked her if she remained friends with Pham, she replied: "Yes, it's still the case."

    She was reported as saying she believed Pham had been "targeted" by "the system".

    Guilty to supprting Al-Qaeda, not planning a terrorist attack at Heathrow. Just to clarify. It's questionable to be friends, but more reasonable to believe they're not going to carry out an attack.

    This isn’t some Palestine Action stuff. I’d hope we could all agree that supporting Al-Quaeda is a lets-not-be-friends issue for any sane individual. Let alone that he took a live round of ammunition to Heathrow.
