Is it just me, or does that seem a bit large for being called “pocket micro”? It’s about the same size as an iPhone. Also seems pretty overpowered and thus overly expensive for the kind of games most people would want to play on a device like that. Is there anything kind of between this and the slew of anbernic 1gb devices and slightly more micro? Seems like that would be more of a sweet spot.

But maybe I’m way off base here

I'm not sure there is a sweet spot between those two kinds of offering. Anything smaller than this device is probably too small for games beyond what the anbernic devices target. Even on screens at this size some games feel a little tight.

Pretty much once you hit ps2/Xbox/GameCube you probably want/need a bigger screen and will also need a bit more heft in the cpu.

Yeah I guess that’s fair. I was thinking like the SOC in the RG Rotate, but really even most ps1 and n64 or newer games would be awkward on a small screen.

Just the idea of only 1gb of ram on something running vaguely modern android wigs me out, but clearly it works.
