As someone who fell of a 25kph scooter, I'm terrified of all those faster scooters.
That being said, I know of people with 80kph scooters, and I might get one too ((but with a) full face helmet and pads, and b) limit of 50kph.))

After reading an article about how the number of cases of crushed jaw has skyrocked here in Sweden after e-scooters became a thing, I have gone from passive disinterest in them to actively wanting them gone as soon as possible.
Also, here it isn't unusual to see kids riding these devices all over the place.
The cheapest brand new escooter here costs just 990SEK about 140 CAD, which is insane.
Just give your kid a proper bike at the right age obviously.
Mental. Especially those e-scooters with their puny front wheels... I really don't think they're designed to go fast. We have a minimum age of 14 years here. They don't require a drivers license but do need insurance on the road and there's a maximum speed of 20 km/h. Still accident number double or triple each year. And I don't think we enforce our rules all that much. Police has more important stuff to do.
I'd really love to ride one of those illegal e-bikes at 120 km/h though. Sounds like a lot of fun.
Wish we had 32 km/h for e-bikes. It's 25 in Germany and that's just too slow and all the cars will try some dangerous maneuvers to get past the bicycle in the crowded city.
Meanwhile cars.. sky is the limit.
