Bo French, who is running to lead a state agency, has in the past posted controversial and racist statements online

Bo French, a Texas Republican running to lead a powerful state agency, has a history of making controversial social media posts, including calling for the public execution of Democratic leaders, according to a recent investigation from CNN’s KFile team.

French, who is running to lead Texas’s railroad commission, has recently faced criticism from members of his own party after making a racist post on social media. Powerful Republicans, including the Texas senator John Cornyn, said they would not support French in the upcoming election.

But the latest spat over French’s social media has led to a deeper look at his online history. In a review of old posts from social media accounts that seemingly belonged to French, CNN’s KFile team found that the Texas Republican repeatedly called for public executions of opponents.

In 2020, French used a now-suspended X account to seemingly call for the execution of former president Barack Obama and other Obama administration officials that he believed had disseminated false information about Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

I love that when Republicans call for people to be murdered it’s not a crime, but if I posted that Republicans should be executed I’d probably be in jail

People were losing their jobs for repeating things Charlie Kirk said word for word. But there was no pearl clutching when he said that "some patriot" should bail out the man who attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer. Not uproar over trump saying he was glad that Robert Mueller had died. They know that they're hypocrites, but they've realized that decency and the social contract in general can be wielded as a cudgel if your side collectively agrees to give themselves a pass.

Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

If someone is just going to choose to be a destabilizing agent in society and deliberately psychologically assault people, they should be removed.

Send them to prison like Johnny Somali.

In the aftermath of Kirk getting shot, didn't people lose their fucking jobs for being overly truthful about the kinds of shit that Kirk actually said? Like people were not being sufficiently mournful enough over this national hero or something, FFS.

But, IOKIYAR. Republicans can call for their "enemies" to be murdered, but if Democrats don't bow and scrape after a shitheel like Kirk is shot, well, then, Katy bar the door.

At this point Zionseddit is going to ban anyone for speaking against the Epstein class, while r/conservative gets a pass to constantly post hate and misinformation, while making vague suggestions about taking care of the libs. The auto mods have gotten out of control, to the point of making the entire platform unusable.

Any attempt at political discourse on Reddit is pathetic and its utility has been reduced to mindless TikTok drivel, 15-sec porn clips with no apparent limits on ethics, karma farming and bot posts to push ad traffic.

I just miss the hobby results reddits. And yes I was perma banned too. For stupidly posting on a sub with 2 different accounts, the first being named for "political content" I'm sorry I didn't realize healthcare was "political" when taking about how hard it was to pay for it personally.

He's the guy that shows up to the orgy 6 hours early and fully nude but the Cracker Barrel staff haven't even moved the tables yet since they're still serving dinner.

To anyone unaware of why anyone would care who the Texas Railroad Comissioner is, while the position originally did, in fact, oversee trains, it no longer does. What it oversees is oil and gas production and facilities. So it's a very powerful position in the state of Texas.

So wild to me... "Don't call out their violence or they'll be more violent" is such a strange thing for them to say

We could have avoided all of this if ever confederate traitor was hung for treason after the civil war.

The same thing should have been done with the J6 group attempting to overthrow our nations democracy. Instead they were pardoned and pointed to as patriots. It’s embarrassing and a complete disgrace to the word patriot.

    That's awful shame on you.

What a horrible waste of precious rocket fuel. Launching them in to deep space takes far less fuel and removes the problem all the same. Especially since we're not worried about g forces on the rocket cargo.

At this point, I consider Republicans to be traitors. The crimson lining of a civil war, is being able to send them to where they belong.

    ... 😒

There was a time that I thought peace between our camps was good, that we were fellow Americans. I don't anymore. They kept pushing their malice. At some point, punching the bully is the only reasonable response.

  • I've never thought the Republican policies, in general, were better than the Dem policies. But I have, on occasion voted for the Republican in elections (local or state) when I thought that person was a better candidate. Those days are decades behind me now. I'll vote Dem, or leave it blank if I really don't agree with the candidate, but I can't imagine voting for anyone connected with that traitor party ever again.

This guy is so awful he's got a real shot at losing this race to Jon Rosenthal, meaning we'll have a Democratic Railroad Commissioner. Both French and Paxton have made a ton of enemies among Republicans in Texas by defeating establishment-type incumbents in their primaries and by their awful behavior
