As an actual advice, teaching my kids baby sign language really helped with communicating before they learned to say words properly.

We always said brains instead of milk. I'm still kicking myself for not getting video of our toddler wandering out of his room all sleepy and asking for brains.

I literally tried to do this with my kid when they were in their twos. He did it a few times to humour me, but he prefers more quotidian modes of speech.

Another good one is teaching them to exclaim “mama Mia!” after they fall down. Cracks me up

My nephew has taken to huffing and rolling his eyes whenever has to do anything he doesn't want to do, he picked that one up from his mum, she was a great eye roller when we were kids.
