Andrew Rubinstein, owner of the wildly popular Hey Bagel in U Village, announced Wednesday on social media that he is opening a second location in West Seattle.

“I want to let you know that I just signed a lease for a West Seattle location,” Rubinstein said in an Instagram video. “I can't tell you how psyched I am to be part of West Seattle. It is one of the coolest parts of the city. I love the culture there. I love the vibe. I love the views. It's beautiful. And this makes me really proud that we can do that.”

Rubinstein added that the shop is expected to open in May 2027.

“So, in May, we are going to be opening up our West Seattle location,” he continued. “I know that's far away, but still, it'll go by really quick, at least for me. It's just north of the Alaska Way Junction on California Avenue. Couldn't be more excited. Can't wait to see you there.”
