which focuses on reviving the company’s traditional coffeehouse experience with upgraded stores, more staffing, smoother operations and reduced consumer wait times.
Is that a traditional coffeehouse experience? I feel like a coffeehouse is meant to be a quiet, relaxed atmosphere where you might sit a while to talk, read, or otherwise pass the time while you sip you hot beverage. And yeah, Starbucks used to feel that way. Then it became more like a fast food restaurant where they were focused on getting orders out as quickly as possible, and getting people out the door so they could serve more.
If they really want a traditional coffeehouse experience, they should cut staff, add more seating, and increase wait times. People who are there to enjoy the atmosphere won't mind. People in a rush can go to McDonalds.
But that's not really what they want. They want to maximize profits, which means they have to sell as much shitty coffee as they can.
