tl;dr due to a cataclysmic event of cosmic horror time will appear to slow down in our minds, making phones appear faster

    I like that they tried something new even if it isn't well received, it's so rare these days.

    I think that's giving them far too much credit. Design philosophies are in a pretty constant state of flux and keep resulting in new overall looks and feels.

    There's no real risk taking here. We're not talking about the Sega Dreamcast or anything. We're just talking about them having terrible taste yet again.

    Older phones that don’t support the new AI/BS features will get faster.

    That explains everything there is you need to know about the AI/BS fad.

    I assume that newer phones that do support the AI/BS features will get slower.
