There is a perfect user interface for any app or OS. You are either moving toward it or away from it. But if you achieve it, or get close to it, you should be very careful about fucking with it.

I think that's giving them far too much credit. Design philosophies are in a pretty constant state of flux and keep resulting in new overall looks and feels.

There's no real risk taking here. We're not talking about the Sega Dreamcast or anything. We're just talking about them having terrible taste yet again.
