  • 5 Green grapes
  • 30 ml Gin
  • 30 ml Campari
  • 20 ml Lemon juice
  • 15 ml Sugar syrup

Shake everything with ice, and serve with some grapes on a skewer.

Edit: Muddle the grapes in the shaker before shaking.

Really tasty drink before dinner, the campari is definitely there, but not overpowering. My grapes were not super sweet, so the sugar syrup was really needed, but I think it could be lowered a bit with nicer grapes.

Always cute with a pink drink too!

Love the Enzoni. Probably one of my favorite lesser known cocktails.

Love a pink drink! This looks very good. Nicely presented too.

This is such a great drink. Tho I usually don't add sugar syrup to them when I make them, but I also usually prefer cocktails on the more bitter side.

Side note: prepare to have to deep clean your Hawthorne strainer....

I took the recipe from Diffords website, which uses sugar syrup, but I think it depends a lot on the grapes used. I might try it again with a couple more grapes and no/less syrup!

And yes, the mashed grapes do a bit of a mess!

My wife loves the riff I make which I call a benzoni (lol)... Replace the gin with bourbon, like the negroni/boulevardier riff. It's tasty but it definitely doesn't need any sugar syrup, as bourbon can be quite sweet on its own.

Oh and I only use green grapes. I think the original called for red? Green tend to have a nice tartness that I love.

    2 questions:

    • is this quantity for 1 or 2 drinks ?
    • what do you do exactly with the 5 grapes ? You toss them in the shaker as is ?
