A million times yes. I'm from the UK, so we sure do have a lot of parks. But China has many public parks, especially in cities. But what really stands out of the amount of people playing sport, or running or dancing or whatever. They are heavily utilised and they are really wholesome places.

    I cannot think of a single country that has a more active public park culture than China.

    Absolutely. I went to public parks in Beijing and Handan, and they were always completely full of people. In the mornings I'd almost always find groups doing tai chi, and the sports facilities (which many parks in China have) were almost always in use.

    I haven't been to the mainland, but in Taiwan parks are well utilized. People exercise or just sit and hangout, sometimes with tea or beer
