"Wait...the one next to America, or the one inside America?"
"The one just outside Super America."
"Wow, nice. How are you getting there?"
"I have a flight out of America on Americaday and then I'm going through America by way of America to America, where I'm America-ing a rental America to America."
"America America America America?"
"America America, America America. America America America America America America America America America America America America America America. America America America America America, America America...America America America America America America."
You know, there used to be this long-standing myth that being a CEO or being the President [1] was one of the hardest jobs and all of us plebes just wouldn't understand why these people need to be showered with praise, power and of course, money.
Well, two unhinged wingers put the lie to all of that.
Elon supposedly runs SIX companies. Hm, weird. I was told that CEOs are like star athletes who work so much harder than any single employee ever does. And yet, Elon has plenty of time to be on his Xitter and such. While supposedly doing the executive equivalent of a being a star athlete...
Same for tiny-d donnie - this guy, possibly one of the stupidest people in American public life and yet got the morons of the country to vote him in, supposedly has the weight of the world on his shoulders, and has all the fucking time in the world to be trolling people online over shit like the names of gulfs, lakes, straits, and now one of the states.
[1] Also, so many fucking morons, for decades, want to see those roles of CEO and POTUS combined, whether it was in W or tiny-d donnie, or in some wet dream of Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin's....
What super-charged his grift was those dumbasses that gave him that game show. He was known in and around Manhattan for being a loudmouth bullshit artist, and I think Stern would give him some time on the air because Stern probably thought it made for good content to showcase this asshole.
But that stupid show really amplified the grift. It's interesting how the show creators seem to characterize his "offices" as rather rundown and depressing, and no wonder.
I bet there is at least a plurality of Americans that still think he's a great businessman thanks to that bullshit show.
Where I come from, we glorify our artists, poets and philosophers. That's what we put on our money and shit. Here we glorify capitalists. This is how that goes.
The guy is straight up delusional. Not maybe. Not figuratively. Not ‘lets investigate’. He’s running-down-the-middle-of-the-street-naked-and-screaming-delusional. Right now.
I found myself wondering about the origins of the word, "Mar-a-lago". Search says it is a Spanish word coined by Marjorie Merriweather Post which means "sea to lake". Maybe Trump should rename his own private property?
