The worst part of this is how little media attention it has received. Also why doesn't this post put the full name of the service in the title? Nobody knows what "a/i" is. The title should say "Autistici/Inventati".

Two weeks ago, the US government declared a small non-profit email service to be a 'terrorism organization' because it upholds left wing political beliefs and now it is forced to shut down because US sanctions limit the website's ability to operate.

That’s how the post was titled.

A/I is shutting down. The Autistici/Inventati collective is shutting down and will soon discontinue all of the services we provide.

A/I is abbreviation of 'Autistici/Inventati collective'.

In the context of being the title of a website owned by Autistici/Inventati, people know what A/I means.

In the context of being the title of a post on hexbear, people think A/I means "artificial intelligence". Most hexbear users associate "artificial intelligence" with "bad" and ignore the post.

It is the duty of the hexbear poster to make a post title that is not confusing. Also, if someone were to search the keyword "autistici", which is the main name that the website is known for, hexbear search would not show your post.

I don’t edit post titles unless a mod says to.

Cite the rule please or contact a mod. I’m not engaging further.

    Done.

the abbreviation is confusing for the users of this website.

So the site is optimised for reading headlines. I’ll keep that in mind for future posts, thanks.

Aside: you or another mod removed my other comment. Not sure how it’s “sarcastic ableism” when I’m explaining why I like things to be correct, but whatever.

In the aftermath of the [august] attack, an extensive database and mapping project covering the NoBlogs network was also published on DataRepublican. The project, presented as "TrumpBlogs, formerly known as NoBlogs", was created by DataRepublican, which stated that it had scraped the publicly accessible NoBlogs network. It contains more than 7,000 blogs in multiple countries and languages and presents them in a searchable database and interactive map, with individual blogs classified, geolocated and, in some cases, labelled according to their alleged political or organizational characteristics. The project specifically identifies anarchist, antifascist, ecological, prisoner-solidarity, migrant-rights and other political or activist blogs."TrumpBlogs, formerly known as NoBlogs"
