As for redirecting, LibRedirect (use wget to download the crx file) still works on Chromium even though it's not manifest v3 yet, although they say they're working on it. Other redirecting services are available.
I've been using a vibe-coded userscript in the meantime, which is hacky and uses Tweet Grok's Twitter Viewer. I definitely prefer Nitter though.
