A herd of Exmoor ponies have been helping to improve biodiversity at a nature reserve in the National Park.

Earlier this summer, 800 metres of fencing was installed at Mill Hill Local Nature Reserve, near Shoreham, to create a dedicated grazing area to help restore the special chalk grassland landscape.

Conservation grazing is a slower, gentler approach to land management, using livestock rather than heavy machinery.
