hello been a minute :) i did this as part of a challenge for a small art community i am in (not on here). i am sorry to not have a scanner because i am sure some detail gets lost but oh well. many mistakes made as usual but it still helped me learn a lot and i had been wanting to do another piece involving marginalia so it was a good opportunity.

Shows impeccable art

...many mistakes made...

That's why I'll only draw doodles. I look at my stuff and go "yeah, that's nice, got what I wanted". That relentless drive and self-critism that fuels true artists is absent in me.

doodles are wonderful too, i think most if not all artists would agree it's important to be able to let loose and play creatively without getting obliterated by perfectionism. they are fun & also very helpful for experimenting, i love a doodle!

First feeling I copped was being reminded of some art from a book that terrified me such that I could never finish it, as a youth - Le Guin's "Tombs of Atuan". Delicious.

Also reminds me just a hair of both Richey Beckett and Jon Dyer Baizley, for different reasons (apples in the corner for the latter, especially). Delicious.

    Shits dope.

❀️ thankyou! i enjoy those artists a lot, plus much of my influences come from pre-raphaelite, art nouveau and the book illustrations i grew up with so it makes me very happy that these things are being picked up on. it really means a lot to me!

This is just delightful. I would hang a print in my office.

Is this part of a larger series?

not at this time, no. i pretty much only do one-offs, though some drawings seem to live together in a way. i have embryonic ideas for bigger projects but it is a lot for me and my adhd ass to think about tackling especially given i take so long to draw. thank you for asking though!

It is a good thing. Berserk is a beloved manga series.

Personally I got more of a tarot card vibe. If I had wall space I would definitely buy a print.
