You must hit them with Old Reliable:

Just dematerialize
You can just hit the bricks. You're an adult. Nobody is stopping you.
I just tell them I have to use the bathroom. I just don't tell them it's at home.
i like to tell everyone I'm making an Irish goodbye because that's what the Irish would do
That’s funny! Do you say “an Irish goodbye” in English when someone leaves without saying goodbye? In German, we say “einen polnischen Abgang machen”, which literally means “to make a Polish exit.” (Apologies to my Polish friends!)
Edit:
Just learned international Names for it:
Germany: Polnischer Abgang (Polish exit)
United States & Ireland: Irish goodbye
United Kingdom: French exit
France: filer à l'anglaise (to leave the English way)
Poland: wyjść po angielsku (to leave the English way)
Wait, Ireland calls it "Irish goodbye", too?
Germans: Polish people are rude, they leave without saying goodbye.
Polish: English people are rude, they leave without saying goodbye.
English: Irish people are rude, they leave without saying goodbye.
Irish: Aye.
