TIL people make coffee with car parts.
Why has nobody seen an infuzer before lmao
Because we’re drug addicts and not connoisseurs
I clean my Magnifica way too infrequently. Even so, that thing keeps going and going, though it likes to eat the tubing o-rings. Don't think I've actually replaced any major parts on it though.
I checked it a while back and I'm well over 50,000 shots on the beast in the 15 years we've had it.
I have a MagnificaS too! Second hand. No trouble so far.
I also had one of those expensive Jura things, also second hand, then it broke, allegedly that cog mechanism is bad from the guess of a technician. The price I heard made me forget about it and just busted out the magnifica from storage.
Wonder how long it will last me
My parents had the same Magnifica for longer than I have. I have to take orings over and fix it every once in a while, as well. I'm sure it doesn't have as many shots as mine but it's up there.
Great machines, but I can't speak to whether it's enshittified these days or not. I'm tempted to pick up a stash of the major parts or a low mileage parts machine for repairs while I can find them. Pretty sure a lot of the parts aren't made anymore.
I gota ask what in turboencapulator is that?
Idk I just know I gotta clean it monthly, allegedly, lol
Well it's the hydrocoptic marzlevane, clearly.
Wish I couple quadriple upvote this.
If you positively charge your grametes you should be able to
It looks to me like the brew chamber from some super-automatic espresso machine.
The silver bit is the shower screen on the head of a plunger that goes down and up to form a puck and then comes back up and the little arm on the left would push off the spent puck after brewing. Or that's my guesses based on taking a different one apart.
Dingdingdingdignding
From a MagnificaS
Lol, right?
And here I sit with my $100 DeLonghi espresso machine, where monthly I have to burn the microfilter clean with a pocket torch.
If it brews it's perfect
If it wasn't dirty, why did you clean it?
Well I spent a minute taking it out, and in my mind at that point I gotta spend another 10 minutes cleaning it
You can't know that its clean unless you clean it!
