I need to buy a spool to run 100'. I'm not super interested in crisp quality video, but if cost is minimal then I don't mind buying up to the better cable. Cameras of course are going to be PoE. Also, is there an online retailer or brick and mortar store that I should buy from? Living in California.

Go to Home Depot, get the 1000ft box of cat 5e, a Klein rj45 crimper and Klein rj45 fittings. Watch a couple YouTube tutorials on making the ends using the B standard.

Imho while cat 5E will likely do. I’d go with the highest you can afford, up to Cat6A. I put in Cat 6 and it’s working well, but one of my runs already is down to 5gbps(tested with a Fluke meter) so I’m regretting not putting in Cat6A.

Monoprice, I use cable matters patch cables, if you have a friend in the business wire path/snap AV.

It's digital video so it's not going to become blurry
